January 14, 2019 – Your Purpose

I recently went to my cousin’s funeral. He was just a boy, he lost the hearing in one of his ears.  When his parents took him to the doctor, they discovered a tumor.  When the doctors operated, they found that the tumor was what I believe they called a spider tumor with little feelers running throughout his brain.  They were unable to take them out and didn’t expect him to live long.  However, he was happy and said this tumor wasn’t going to steel his happiness.  There was a lot he wanted to do and it wasn’t going to take that away from him.  We were surprised and thrilled when he graduated, went on a mission, went to school, got married and had three daughters.  He lived something like 26 years with cancer and touched so many lives with his positive, go get um attitude.  It was inspiring to hear about the positive impact he had on everyone his life touched.

Funerals inspire me to be better, to contemplate my purpose.

In your mind, jump to the end of your life.

At your funeral Imagine who would be speaking. What would you like them to say about you?

How would you like to impact others?

How are you inspired to be better?

What is your purpose?
