Banana Bread
Have your banana's gotten a bit over ripe? Don't throw them away, over ripe bananas are perfect for this flavorful banana bread.
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup mashed bananas
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 cups flour
- 1-1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add bananas, milk, and lemon juice.
Sift dry ingredients and add. Add nuts if desired.
Pour mixture into a well greased 8x4x3 inch loaf pan.
Bake for one hour.
Serve warm.
We love to spread butter on a slice and eat when it has melted into the slice. So yummy.
